Sirius B's Wand
This one took me more than a year to complete! I was sure there had to be a way to create the pattern on the shaft using geometric processes, rather than the slow and painstaking way of sculpting it manually (like moulding digital clay). And there is, but it took me ages to figure it out. It was still not easy, but a lot easier than sculpting. Once the geometric forms were modelled in, I manually tweaked it to give more of a slightly random handmade feel. In the end, I'm really pleased by how this wand turned out. I've been focusing on making it in Gabon ebony, katalox, and occasionally brown ebony, but I can make it in pretty much any wood I have available.
